Breakdown: Born October 25, 1983 in New York City … Raised in New York City … Graduated from the University of Maryland in 2005 … Aspiring play-by-play broadcaster … I prefer to broadcast basketball and baseball, but I’ll call boxing, soccer, football, hockey, tennis or whatever else … working for Comcast SportsNet mid-Atlantic … Sports is my passion and since I can’t play them very well, I stay involved through and broadcasting and writing …

Favorite sport to play: Basketball and Baseball
Favorite sport to watch: MLB and NBA
Favorite MLB team: The New York Yankees
Favorite MLB player (retired): Don Mattingly
Favorite MLB players (present): Bernie Williams
Favorite NBA team: New York Knickerbockers
Favorite NBA players (retired): Patrick Ewing (I also have to show love to John Starks and Charles Oakley)
Favorite NBA players (present): Stephon Marbury, LeBron James, Ron Artest
Favorite NFL team: New York Giants
Favorite NFL players (retired): Jerome Bettis
Favorite NFL players (present): Tiki Barber
Favorite NHL team: New York Rangers
Favorite NHL players (retired): Mike Richter, Mark Messier
Favorite NHL players (present): Brian Leetch, Alexi Kovalev, Alexander Ovechkin
Favorite Boxers: Arturo Gatti, Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, and Felix Trinidad and George Foreman (retired)
Three Boxers who have earned my deepest respect: Bernard Hopkins, Oscar de la Hoya, Floyd Mayweather Jr. (the best pound-for-pound)
Favorite Tennis players: John McEnroe, James Blake, Roger Federer, Martina Hingis, Serena Williams
Favorite pro wrestlers: Mr. Perfect (R.I.P.), 2 Cold Scorpio, Hulk Hogan (before all the Hollywood crap), Goldberg, The Rock
Favorite NCAA teams: Maryland Terrapins (I also support the Georgetown Hoyas)
Favorite sports moment: Hard to narrow it down … Professionally it was broadcasting a Maryland Terrapins basketball game at Madison Square Garden - a dream come true for an aspiring play-by-play man from NYC. Personally, the moments that stick out were being at Yankee Stadium for two perfect games (Wells and Cone), two A.L. Pennant clinching games (2000, 2003) and being at Madison Square Garden for Patrick Ewing night.
Favorite play-by-play: Marv Albert
Favorite sportswriter: George Solomon (also my teacher at UMD)
Broadcasting personality most admired: Roone Arledge (R.I.P)
Favorite uniforms: The Yankee pinstripes and road grey jerseys (no name, of course). I liked the Knicks’ jerseys when they were solid white at home and blue on the road, but now they have these ridiculous stripes on the sides in addition to other alterations, making the uniforms nearly as hard to stomach as the organization itself.
Favorite hot chicks: Selma Hayek, Tyra Banks, Elizabeth Hurley, Summer Walker
Least Favorite things in sports: I have so many … but here are a few off the top my head: The Red Sox … crappy sportscasters … Yankee fans booing Alex Rodriguez when he makes an out … the Pacers, the Heat, the Bulls (more specifically Michael Jordan) … the Nets (as well as the majority of their fan base, which didn’t exist before 2001) … the Knicks not drafting Ron Artest … Fox baseball coverage (I mean seriously, it’s just awful) … Duke University intercollegiate athletics … ESPN … Stuart Scott, Jim Rome and Stephen A. Smith … But I digress...
