  • Question (Justin | Williamsburg, VA): This weekend, the CAA tourney has showcased some solid basketball produced by good teams. Why can't the CAA get two teams in?
Feature Presentation: Tonight is a big one. I have Old Dominion in the NCAA tournament, so if William & Mary wins, there you go that's two CAA teams. If the Tribe loses, I don't see them getting an at-large bid. Sure, they own wins against Maryland, Wake Forest and Richmond - all NCAA tournament teams - but W&M's profile isn't on par with fellow bubble teams. Their mid-50's RPI is decent, but their strength of schedule is nothing to write home about and they have three losses against teams with an RPI higher than 240. I will say if they do get the automatic bid, I would not want to face the Tribe in the first round. When their three-point shooters are on, they are a tough out.
