Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the first ever edition of Korey’s Korner. First off, I would like to congratulate the George Mason Patriots for a tremendous run in the tournament. They have nothing to hang their heads about. You finished 4th out of 300 some odd teams in the nation, that’s pretty darn good for your classmates not even knowing you played basketball to begin with.

Today is not only the launch of FPO.com, but also the launch of the 2006 Major League Baseball season with the Cleveland Indians taking on the defending champion Chicago White Sox. Thanks to Bud Selig, no one even knows that this game is scheduled to take place tonight. So I am prepared to refresh your memory.

This may finally be the year that the Cubs break the curse and win…ah, who am I kidding? Although dangerous when healthy, the Cubs haven’t been healthy since 2003, their best season in 60 years. The Cubs are primed to make a run to third place in the Central. For my World Series pick, I’m going to go young. I’m picking the Cleveland Indians to go all the way past the White Sox, through the Yankees and into the record books. They have great starting pitching, a good young lineup and they’re healthy to this point.    Barry Bonds is set to break the career home run record this year, and I have some suggestions on what Major League Baseball should do if that were to happen. My favorite one would be to present him a golden asterisk shaped trophy. My other suggestion is a diamond syringe. Either one would work out just fine.

I hate to cut this short, but it’s been good. I look forward to entertaining you for the time to come. In the meantime, enjoy the rest of the site, and watch opening day! It’s good!
