Travis Walling
Columnist

Breakdown:
Travis was born in Sewickely Hospital right outside of Pittsburgh, PA at approximately 3:00AM June 17, 1981. According to his mother one of the first things he saw was Bryan Gumbel on the Today Show, which was the first in a string of unfortunate events to befall him in his life. Up until college not much happened, and in college not much still happened, it was just 1000 times more fun. He lost his virginity to an African-American girl, which is suprising considering how white he himself is. It has led to many a "Was it like in the movie 'Road Trip'?" jokes. No, it wasn't. Being from Pittsburgh he is a lover of all things to do with Pittsburgh sports, with the fear that if he didn't the yinzer police would beat him senseless. He has a degree in accounting from a school nobody has ever heard of, and he has been recently diagnosed with ADD. So with his lack of a writing background and the fact that he's very easily distracted his writings may sometimes come across as the ramblings of a person who is having a stroke. Please bear with him.

Favorite sport to play: I played organized soccer for 15 years, but I liked playing football better and was better at it. Kind of tells you what kind of decision making skills I have.
Favorite MLB team(s): Pittsburgh Pirates
Favorite MLB players (present): Jason Bay, Barry Bonds (when he was skinny), Oliver Perez
Favorite NBA players (present): Ray Allen, Allen Ray (basically any athletes who have the same name but backwards)
Favorite NFL team: Pittsburgh Steelers
Favorite NFL players (retired): Rod Woodson
Favorite NFL players (present): Curtis Martin, Rod Woodson, Ike Taylor, Ben Roethlisberger, Randy Moss
Favorite NHL team(s): Pittsburgh Penguins
Favorite NHL players (present): Does Mario Lemieux still count? Sydney Crosby maybe soon.
Favorite sports moment: Game one of the 1992 Stanley Cup Finals. Mario Lemieux scores the game winning goal with like 10 seconds left. Pens win 5-4 after trailing by 3 goals for much of the game. And I was there.
Favorite things in sports: Too many to mention. But the chili/cheese/gravy/sour cream fries at PNC Park probably rank right up there.
Least Favorite things in sports: Any college basketball team whose offensive philosophy is "chuck up 3s and pray" (especially when it works), poke-with-a-stick sports media types, uninformed sports fans, the Atlanta Braves, Joe Theisman.
Favorite hot chicks: Jessica Alba, Jennifer Love Hewiit, Aisha Tyler, Adrianna Lima, Keira Knightly, your mom.
